I have a dog that is infested with fleas. She is a Chinese Shar Pei. We learned the fleas are coming from our backyard and porch. I’ve read about mixing powders to kill the fleas, but I’m not sure about that. Please give me some ideas on what to do

get sevins dust for gardens it works great.i put some in a old knee high hose and shake it all over my yard.i even put it on my dogs and pups.it’s safe you can get it in the garden section at any hardware or department store a 4 lb bag cost me $8 but it last awhile.

You can buy this stuff called Diatomaceous Earth or DE. It’s a totally natural product in powder form and it kills fleas, lice, mites, ticks etc. You can rub it straight into your pets fur, put it in bedding or sprinkle it on the ground & in crevices where the parasites hide. It’s totally harmless to animals, birds and humans, you can even eat it. Livestock farmers add it to animal feed as it will kill parasites in the digestive system, so it can be used as a wormer as well. It’s non chemical so it’s safe to use. I’d recommend it, I use it for my animals and birds. I bought mine from wrigglywrigglers.com but if you aren’t in the UK you could probably do a Google search and find somewhere that sells it. It basically dries out the shell of parasitic creatures and they dehydrate and die.
I hope this helps, good luck getting rid of the fleas 🙂

Bathe your dog in Dawn dishing washing liquid blue orginal. Then use a frontline or something simular. You can get servern dust at the feed store or sometimes at the pet store put that on your yard. There is a spray made by RAID you can spray on your porch, in the house, on the furniture to get rid of those fleas.

Rid your dog of the fleas and get some strong concertrated spray for outside. The kind you mix in the pump sprayers……..spray your yard and porch about 2-3 times a day for several days. You can also dust every thing with Sevens Dust……..It will take a while to get it all clear but this is how we done it last year when we had fleas in our yards.

Call a professional exterminator and have your house and yard sprayed, and get the proper meds, from your vet, for your dog.
